Retayne is a liquid cationic dye fixing agent. It is used as a pre-treatment on commercially dyed cotton fabrics that tend to bleed easily. Retayne requires very hot water (140 degrees) in order to activate the chemicals needed to set reactive dye that was not set properly. 

This product is not recommended for use on finished garments and quilts. It is a pre-wash.
