Every August, I find myself trying to balance it all—harvesting the garden, shipping orders, sewing samples, filming tutorials, and sharing our newest batik fabrics with you. It’s a busy time in our day-to-day lives and at SewBatik… but underneath it all, I feel that familiar pull.
The overwhelming urge to sew for the next season.
There’s just something about fall that invites creativity. It might be a new quilt to cozy up with while watching a movie. A garment that layers just right. A bag that carries what I need, or a little project that freshens up my sewing or living space.
Whatever you’re dreaming up for fall—I’d love to help you get started. Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be popping into your inbox with some of my current project ideas (and maybe a few I haven’t quite started yet). Just a little nudge of inspiration while I chip away at my own ever-growing fall sewing list.
From batik cotton quilts to rayon blouses, canvas totes to cozy corduroy—if it involves fabric, I’m in.
