B5 Pattern: Sizes 8 - 16
F5 Pattern: Sizes 16 - 24
Recommended Fabric: 72" Batik Cotton Jersey Knit. Our sample was made using 72" Batik Cotton Jersey Knit - Phoenix in the color of Twilight Blue. We made a size 14 short sleeve boat neck tee shirt. For this sample we cut 1 yard of our 72" Wide Batik Cotton Jersey Knit. The pattern recommends yardage for 60" wide fabric. When planning yardage using our 72" wide Knit simply measure the length garment you wish to sew and add 5" to it. There is gradual flare to the body style. If making the version with a long sleeve definitely get the yardage stated on the pattern in your size. You will need at least 1 1/2 Yards for the long sleeve version.
Skill Level: Confident Beginner. This is a good pattern to use if you are new to jersey knit fabric. The pattern is educational and will help you understand grain line, layout, sizing, and adjustments to make this for your body style.
Hints & Tips: this pattern is fast and simple when using a serger. A serger is not required to make this garment. Jersey knit does not ravel so if you don't have a serger (yet)feel comfortable using a traditional sewing machine, Jersey needle, and a stretch stitch on your sewing machine.
