Pattern: Buckthorn Backpack & Tote

You will love this zippered top backpack and tote for everyday use. They both have a front pocket for easy access to smaller items and a flat oval base. A divided interior pocket keeps everything inside organized. The backpack has adjustable straps and fits tablets, small laptops, and/or notebooks! Buckthorn Tote is perfect for projects on the go.

This may become my carry everything-everday tote!  [ and I carry a lot of "stuff" ]

Backpack:  13" wide by 5 1/2" deep (measured at the oval base), 14" tall

Tote:  10 1/2" wide by 6 1/2" deep (measured at the oval base), 11 1/2" tall

Recommended Fabric/Notions: 

• Waxed Canvas for the exterior (7-10 oz), canvas for the interior, and cotton webbing make this a quick and easy make.
  
• Quilting Cotton + Fusible Woven Interfacing, Fusible Fleece Interfacing or Foam, Handbag Zipper
• Backpack Only:  (2) 1 1/2" wide Triangle Rings, (2) 1 1/2" wide Wsivel Snaps, (2) 1 1/2" wide Strap Sliders
• 4 yards of 1 1/2" wide Cotton Webbing

Skill Level:  Confident and Patient Beginner to Intermediate.
