Pattern: Thayer Jacket
The Thayer Jacket is a workwear inspired jacket that will take you from fall to winter with ease. It features a slight A-line shape, roomy patch pockets and inseam yoke pockets, two-piece sleeves, and is fully lined for plenty of warmth. Front princess seams ensure a great fit.
Techniques involved include sewing straight and curved seams, setting sleeves flat, bagging a jacket lining, topstitching, inserting buttonholes, and sewing on buttons.

RECOMMENDED FABRIC:
Main fabric: Light to mid-weight wovens such as cottons, linens, chambrays, and blends. The fabric will doubled and quilted to a batting avoid anything too heavy.
Pre-Quilted Fabric. Start with quilted fabric and make this jacket super quickly!
NOTIONS: Thread, 5 yards of 1/2" wide double fold bias binding (or 1/2 yard of extra fabric to make your own bias binding). View A - 4 coat hooks & eyes. View B - 4 heavy duty snaps. If quilting your own fabric purchase high quality quilt batting measuring 72" x 80". 1/8 yard of 22" wide fusible interfacing.
