Season for Scarves
Let's Make a Simple Kimono - Using your Serger
Sometimes we need a "very" simple jacket to make - no fuss, no facings, no inset sleeves, no fuss (I said that before...). This project - the Easy Rolled Edge Kimono is just that project. I find it great fun to take a break from more complex projects to whip up a gift for my mom or a friend and this jacket is perfect.
It's getting colder and colder each day here in North Dakota and I decided to share this simple garment with mom. She is home and staying inside most of the time, and a simple throw-on jacket is perfect for her days.
Follow along as we show you how to make this Kimono Jacket.
Apron's and Oven Mitts - Who Knew
This year, with all the change in our lives, has brought me new perspective on so many things. Bruce and I are home each day and seem to lead what most people would call a "normal" life. We go to our office for work, we visit my mom and help her in anyway we can, we go home and make dinner, and continue this routine each day.
I've had the time to do the things that we never seem to have time to do - one of them is cook and sew for our own home and for myself. Many of our new projects are a reflection of home. This new project - our Double Oven Mitt - is one of those projects. I had fun making this pattern, the project, and the tutorial. We hope you enjoy as well!

Rayon Top from Rayon Remnant Pack
What can you do with a Rayon Remnant Pack?
Well - there are so many uses for this fun pack that includes approximately 3 yards of Batik Rayon, full width 45" wide strips, that measure approximately 5" to 12" each. Patchwork or strip piecing are so much fun and allow you to design and craft your own personal garment. Piecing and patchwork are not just for quilting. Let's explore!!
